Count the minutes you will actually use
Add your recurring meetings, interviews, and voice notes. Compare that total with the current plan allowance. Occasional use and daily recording can lead to very different ownership costs.
Include correction time
A transcript that needs extensive repairs has a hidden cost. Check the quality of names, figures, speaker attribution, and domain-specific vocabulary in a realistic sample.
Follow the file all the way out
Look at transcript formats, audio export, search, and where you can store the final result. A smooth capture experience is less valuable if your working tools cannot use the output.
Check the exit
Before committing, understand which files and features remain available if a subscription ends. Look for a usable export and deletion process. Recheck the service terms at the time of purchase.
