Describe the symptom precisely
“The battery is bad” can mean the frame never gained charge, the case was empty or the glasses ran down during a busy session. Begin with what you can observe. Did the expected charging indicator appear? What did the frame and case report before use? Note whether the problem occurs every time or only after a particular outing. A clear description gives the support process somewhere useful to start.
Follow the care instructions for the model
Ray-Ban’s current FAQ identifies sweat, dirt and liquid at the charging interface as possible obstacles. Its cleaning guidance calls for a dampened cloth and mild soap, avoiding solvents, alcohol, abrasive cloths and running water, then drying the glasses before returning them to the case. Follow your model’s instructions carefully, including those for the case. Do not replace a documented cleaning procedure with improvised scraping or liquid applied directly to electrical contacts.
Change one condition at a time
After the permitted cleaning and drying steps, seat the frame as instructed and check for the expected signal. If charging still fails, consult the vendor’s troubleshooting sequence and use supported accessories. Keep notes on what changed rather than cycling through several interventions at once. This is especially useful when a fault is intermittent: a short record of conditions can reveal more than repeatedly finding the device empty at the start of a day.
Know when to hand it over
Stop improvising when the documented steps do not resolve the issue or you see damage. Gather the model, serial number, purchase information and a concise account of the symptom for official support. A photo of the relevant condition may help if requested. Once charging is reliable, assess runtime separately with a normal task schedule. Maintenance can solve a poor connection; it should not be used to explain away an endurance problem that persists after a confirmed full charge.
